Fast Action Bonus Ends Tonight: Phys Flex Cert FAQ

What up you savage? I wanted to take a slight round-a-bout from our technical breakdown to answer a bunch of questions that came in about the Phys Flex Cert…

..and to remind you that the Fast Action Bonus of your 1 hour private call (a legit $250 value) with your truly nerdy here closes tonight, Wed April 22 at midnight PST.

Story time as just today a coach named Chris emailed me some solid questions.

Then another coach emailed me.

Then another one.

By the third round, I realized I was basically sitting in my “office” (ok, it is really the kitchen table in our rental unit in S Padre TX), like some deranged physiology hotline operator, typing the same answers over and over while caffeine and spite kept me running.

Thus, if figured I would kick out a FAQ to answer your questions.

If you’ve been hovering around the Phys Flex Cert page like a raccoon outside a dumpster full of stale Doritos, this is for you.

And if your question isn’t here, hit reply. I read everything and I will get back to you, I promise!

Grab your glute max with both hands as here we go!

Q: How is the Phys Flex Cert different from the Flex Diet Cert?

Flex Diet Cert is Level 1.

That’s the inputs.

Protein. Micronutrition. Hydration. Sleep. The lifestyle and nutrition interventions that should be dialed in before you go chasing shiny objects and pretending a red light aimed at your nut sack is a new biohacker business model.

Phys Flex Cert is Level 2.

It is the regulatory layer underneath the inputs.

Temperature regulation. pH tolerance. Expanded fuel use through lactate and ketones. Breathing through O2 and CO2 control.

Same big framework.

Different depth.

You do not need Flex Diet Cert to take Phys Flex. It stands on its own.

But if you’ve already got the basics mostly handled and you still have clients who plateau, recover like trash, gas out too early, or feel fragile for no obvious reason...

...this is the layer you’re missing.

My short pitch is if you or your client is getting a B in training, nutrition, and sleep, the Phys Flex Cert is the next system.

If they are still getting their training programs from AI and think that eating green things means to pick out the green skittles, do not pass go and do NOT enroll in the Phys Flex Cert.

Yes that may costs me sales, but it is the truth.

Q: How is this different from Precision Nutrition Level 2?

I was one of the peer reviewers on the PN book. Good people. Solid work. JB is the man still to this day.

But PN leans much more into behavior change and coaching psychology.

That is a strength.

Phys Flex goes harder in the other direction.

Mechanism.

Physiology.

Why the thing works.

What lever you’re actually pulling.

What system is stiff, over-reactive, underdeveloped, or getting bullied into mediocrity.

If PN helped you coach behavior better, great.

If you walked away still hungry for the deeper physiology of why clients stall, why recovery goes sideways, why output falls off a cliff, why some athletes look “fine” until they suddenly don’t...

...that’s exactly the hole this cert was built to fill.

The Phys Flex goes hard into the pain of physiology, but still has 40 direct action items so you will always know EXACTLY what to do with violent consistency.

Q: Who is the Phys Flex Cert for, honestly?

It’s for the coach whose clients have already earned roughly a B in the basics as I eluded to above.

They train decently.

They eat decently.

They sleep decently.

…And yet they still stall, crash, fail to recover, or keep bouncing off the same invisible electric fence.

That’s who the Phys Flex Cert is for.

If your client is still eating gas-station protein chips and calling four hours of sleep “pretty good,” fix that sheeeet first!

That’s not a Phys Flex problem, that is a brutal basics problem.

However, what if the basics are no longer the obvious bottleneck?

Now you’re in business. Enroll below

Q: Do I need a sauna, an ice bath, and ten grand of weird equipment?

No.

This is one of the biggest myths around the whole framework.

You do not need to build a sadistic physiology amusement park in your garage. You can and I love mine, but it is not a requirement.

And even if you want to hard down the cold water immersion chute, I show you exactly how to convert a freezer for not much more money.

Temperature regulation can be trained with simple heat or cold exposure, even outdoor environment choices.

pH tolerance is mostly programming and breathing techniques.

Fuel expansion is mostly programming, nutrition strategy, and knowing when to use lactate, ketones, fasting, or carbohydrate restriction strategically instead of ideologically.

O2/CO2 regulation can be trained with breathing drills you can do almost anywhere and even during or after exercise.

So yes, if you have a sauna or cold plunge, cool. We cover how to use them correctly.

Which, by the way, is usually the opposite of what the internet GooRoos clowning around are doing.

But the core system is not gadget-dependent.

It is intelligence-dependent and deep physiology to make you and your clients better, now.

Q: Does this work for online coaching?

Absolutely.

Honestly, that’s one of the main use cases as all of my clients are online and have been for going on 13 years now.

Most of these tools are even cleaner online because they rely on programming, exposure, breathing, sequencing, and compliance instead of you hovering over the client like a caffeinated hawk.

If you coach remotely, this gives you more levers, not more headaches. Plus it is a way to differentiate yourself as doing nutrition and programming now is the baseline.

Q: Is there a payment plan?

Yes.

Affirm and Klarna are live at checkout, just scroll down to the bottom there.

If neither works, hit reply and we will work on something custom for you.

I’d rather get the right coach into the cert on a workable plan than lose them because the timing is annoying.

Q: What if I get stuck in the material?

Then you email me personally.

Directly.

That is not fake marketing fluff cooked up by some copywriter in a beige office park.

I actually answer all your questions as you get my private email when you enroll.

If you’re dealing with a client case and you’re not sure whether the problem is primarily pH, breathing, temperature, or fuel-related, send it over and I’ll point you in the right direction.

That’s also why I only open this cert twice per year.

If I left it open all the time, the access gets watered down and I don’t want that.

And unlikel some others that run certs who advertise “access” then pawn you off to some pimply faced 18 year old intern or have you jump through 11 hoops and only use their special app that you can only download once every purple moon, etc.

Nonsense. You enroll and I give you my private email that I respond to in 24 -48 hours unless it is Sunday. You paid your hard earned money to get my support.

https://miket.me/physflex <--full details

Q: Why is the cart only open for a week?

Because I want to preserve the ability to answer questions like a real human instead of becoming some ghost trapped inside an autoresponder, hence I know when it will be open and carve out extra time in my schedule to make sure I can reply back to those enrolled.

And because the next time this opens is in the fall.

If this is the missing layer for you, this is the week.

Q: What do I actually get?

You walk away with:

The big-picture framework for how the four regulators interact

Deep dives into temperature, pH, expanded fuels, and O2/CO2

More than 40 action items you can use with clients right away

My 5-action compliance system based on coaching leverage ™

Autoregulation protocols

Direct access to email me

Lifetime access as it is 100% online

And yes, a physical certificate when you finish.

That last part is real.

I like the ritual of it to actually earn the title.

Q: What if I buy it and hate it?

Then you ask for your money back within 30 days.

No interpretive dance.

No hostage negotiation.

No “please submit a screenshot of your soul leaving your body while watching Module 3.”

Just email, and I give you your money back.

To date over 121 sales, I have issued 2 refunds. One for no apparent reason that I could tell. The other one said “hey, it looks like some nerd recorded this sitting in his kitchen writing all over slides. I could read the slides, but his handwriting was horrible and the graphics were unimpressive”

I just replied “You are 100% correct, no Hollywood production here, and my handwriting is really bad as I like to write on top of the slides. Here is all your money back.”

If you are looking for grand Hollywood scale production, this is not it.

If you want to learn material that I’ve spent over a decade directly researching and applying to my paying clients and athletes, you are set.

Q: Can I ask you something specific before I buy?

Yes.

And you should.

Hit reply and tell me the actual problem.

The client who’s stalled.

The athlete who keeps fading late.

The person whose HRV looks like a seismograph during an earthquake.

The lifter who can’t recover despite “doing everything right.”

Tell me what’s going on, and I’ll tell you which pillar I’d look at first.

That alone is useful.

And if it becomes obvious the cert is the right move for you, then enroll.

Q: What bonus items are still open?

Bonus 1 — 1-hour private consulting call with me. $250 value. Expires tonight at 11:59 PM PST.

Bonus 2 — AMA audio series. 5 calls. 4.5 hours. Expires tomorrow (thurs) night.

Bonus 3 — Red Light Therapy Masterclass. My 6-video series built for Dr. Andy Galpin and Dan Garner at Biomolecular Athlete. Never released publicly. Included when you enroll before cart close.

Payment plan options are live at checkout.

If you need something else, hit reply.

Much love,
Dr. Mike

PS — Tonight I’m going into pH and the “lactic acid” myth, which is one of the most stubborn pieces of zombie-bro-science still stumbling around the fitness industry half-dead and somehow still teaching certification courses.

The fitness internet has the attention span of a caffeinated squirrel with a crypto account full of DOGE coin. A study drops with a huge number and some IG GooRoo between ab shotz and posing in front of his rented fancy car rips that number out of context, sprays it across social media like cheap cologne in a strip mall bathroom, and suddenly every shirtless man with a ring light is telling you the sauna is basically anabolic sorcery. Then the supplement companies arrive followed fast by the...

Aaaah, my buddy Joe Rogan. I will get hate for this but overall I love Joe and his show most of the time… …however, the practice of going ballZ deep at 33F in the ice bath as a recommendation to start is bonkers. This has also spun off a whole slew of “Cold Water BroZ” via the cult of Joe with their own epic posting about their love of cold water immersion after lifting ‘cuz "recovery, bro." Can doing cold water immersion (CWI) immediately after lifting stall your gainZ? Here's what's...

Newsflash Brosefus, your body does not want to add more muscle, run faster, and get leaner all by itself. This is not a motivational failure nor a mindset problem where you just need to biohack your way out or keep trying harder. This is physiology at its most fundamental as your body is designed to survive above everything. A massive part of this survival mechanism is homeostasis, your body's insane, around-the-clock commitment to holding its internal environment constant no matter what you...
