Happy New Year! Nothing exciting here last night as the wonderful Wifey Jodie and I just chilled out and went to bed early, haha. I had a fun training session today in the Extreme Human Performance garage gym of bench press, axle double overhand DLs, KB swings, heavy eccentric rows with the Voltra 1, press downs and some pick ups with Brutus the 135 lbs Inch DB replica w 10 lbs of counter weight. The AM I did some meathead cardio on the rower followed by a cold plunge in the freezer at 46F for 2 minutes . I hope your training is going well! Thank you for being such a loyal reader this past year and even longer! Reply back here and let me know what your goals are for 2026 and how can I help? Seriously, I want to help you out, reply back! Much love, Dr Mike PS- to help you and your clients reach your goals, the Flex Diet Cert opens again this early Feb. Plus I am putting the finishing touches on a brand new way to help a few of you this year too. More details on that very very soon as I have it almost all worked out. _____________________ Mike T Nelson CISSN, CSCS, MSME, PhD … |

I recently joined Brandon DaCruz on the Chasing Clarity Health & Fitness Podcast to dig...

We talk through how to implement aerobic conditioning in the real world, what zone two training actually is (and isn’t), and the pros and cons of different training methodologies. Jason shares his thoughts on concurrent training, functional movement, and how to improve performance without sacrificing long-term health. We also get into...
Karen is not lazy. Karen is not weak. Karen is not "undisciplined." Karen may be you… if you've ever alphabetized your supplements and weighed blueberries like they were precious metals. Karen started her diet on a Monday. Of course she did. New macros. New app = New identity. For the first few weeks? Flawless. Scale down. Waist tighter. Training numbers mostly holding. That smug little glow of moral superiority you get when you turn down cake and say, "I'm good." Karen was perfect on her...
