4 Random Updates

Hola, you beautifully deranged human!

I’ve got some blazing-hot updates fresh off the synaptic grill—so buckle in, sip your caffeine, and try not to drool on your keyboard.

Let’s go:

1) Flex Diet Online Mentorship – Doors Are Ripped Open Again

You want to build an online training business that doesn’t suck?

Good. I'm reopening the Flex Diet Online Mentorship for 5 to 7 brave souls who want direct access to my brain (yes, the one forged by science, blood, and trial-by-fire).

Here’s the real story:
Back in 2015, I didn’t know jack about online anything. I dropped $2,500 up front—and another $2,500 per month for nearly three years—to learn how to not be a broke-ass coach screaming into the void.

It worked.

It hurt.

It was worth it in the end.

Now, fast forward a decade, and my wife and I both still work full-time in this business we built from scratch with help from our ever faithful part time employee Suzie.

I only started offering this mentorship after proving the system on myself—no theory BS. This is the fifth time I’ve run it, and the reviews? Glowing. Like radioactive.

Here’s what you get:

  • One brand-new, laser-focused module per week (30 min-ish)
  • Homework assignments (you’re gonna write, and I’ll personally rip through it with my red pen of justice)
  • Direct mentorship from me—not a VA, not a bot, not some “growth hacker” with a shady mustache. Me.
  • Access to a select group of past mentorship graduates
  • A private 1 hour kick start call with just you and me to find the fastest leverage as soon as possible to get you making more $$
  • Two group Zoom calls per month with current and past mentorship peeps.
  • Brand new content customized to the new group about how to leverage AI.
  • No, this is NOT a course on how to make AI do all your crappy writing. You will have to write from scratch to start, but I will show you a speedy process that will save you a ton of time, and then later on involve AI.

What you do not need - fancy tech.
You need: a laptop, internet, and a newsletter service. That’s it. No sales funnel wizardry. No fancy whizz-bang website.

No TikTok dances either.

Here’s what I need from you:
Minimum 2–3 hours per week of real effort.
No spectators.

No dreamers.

Just doers.

You will work with me personally and you give me permission to ride you like a rented mule to GSD!

Want in? Smash reply. Ask me anything. Spots vanish fast and won’t reopen until later.

We will need to get on a call to makes sure you are a fit for the group as I am picky on who I let in. Hit reply now.

2) Flexible Meathead Cardio: Level 1 – Final Slides Drop Sunday

It’s happening. The final slides for Level 1 are dropping like meteorites this Sunday night.

Yes, I know I said that before—but plot twist:
Some flaming douchecanoe pirated the course and tried to resell it. I had to go full Liam Neeson and hunt the bastard down (legally, but still intense). That derailed the timeline.

Not your fault. Not my plan. Piracy sucks.

But now? We’re back on track.
Thank you for not losing your minds while I was in the legal trenches.

3) Flexible Meathead Cardio: Level 2 – New Dates Set

Level 2 got nudged to the week of August 11th because of two things:

  1. The scumbag pirate mentioned above.
  2. A last-minute “get-on-a-plane-and-fix-this-now” gig with a pro athlete in Europe (because sometimes that’s life).

New FMC L2 dates:

  • Tuesday, August 12th
  • Thursday, August 14th
  • And again the following Tuesday and Thursday

Two full weeks. Big brains. Bigger gains.
You’ll get more info soon, but mark your damn calendar.

4) ❤️ Thank You

Seriously—thank you.
You read these rants, send thoughtful replies, and make this strange little corner of the fitness universe worth showing up for. I don’t take that lightly.

More heat coming tomorrow on the topic of recovery—because training hard is cool, but recovering like a boss is cooler.

Much love,
Dr. Mike

Read This Before You Light Your Laptop on Fire. Let me guess… You spent hours this week conjuring up content like a caffeinated wizard. Workout video? Check.Nutrition tip carousel? Yep. Maybe even a brave, slightly sweaty live Q&A where your dog barked and nobody showed up? Done and dusted. And the result? Crickets.A sad whisper of a double tap. Maybe your mom liked it. Thanks, mom.No DMs. No clients. No cash. Here’s what I wish someone had grabbed me by the protein-stained hoodie and...

On this episode of the Flex Diet Podcast, I’m joined by Dr. Antonella Schwarz to geek out over her recent study on myo-reps, which she presented at the International Society of Sports Nutrition. We break down what myo-reps are, where the concept came from, and how they stack up against more traditional hypertrophy protocols. We also dive into some broader topics, including muscle growth principles, physical therapy applications, injury recovery strategies, and how to train efficiently when...

Happy Sunday! Hope your weekend’s going well. Your fave nerd took the day off yesterday, packed up Black Sunshine, and made the two-hour drive north to Mille Lacs for some kiteboarding at “The Gathering” kite event. The wind was light—light enough that I got a solid NEAT workout from hiking 35 minutes back through the water with all my gear when it died off. Haha. Still managed to log 73 km and snag the #2 spot on the leaderboard. It was a blast, and, as much as gym training matters,...
