Fitnes and AI

In this episode of the Flex Diet Podcast, I sit down with Dean Guedo and Jeb Stuart Johnston of Food on the Mind for our yearly "AI in Fitness" check-in.

We get into whether creators should disclose their AI use, why deepfaked video is a very different beast than AI-assisted writing, and why so much hard-won fitness expertise never made it onto the internet at all.

We also dig into dead internet theory, why LLM writing may have already peaked, and why demanding physical skills may become more valuable, not less, as AI accelerates.

Newsflash, Brosefus. Four weeks from now — Monday, October 12 — I fling open the gates of the Physiologic Flexibility Certification for 1 week only. Why should you care? Hold your glutes with both hands as I answer you via a story of Optimizing Otto. Spreadsheet so gorgeous it should hang in the Louvre — color-coded, auto-calculating, little branded PDF with his face photoshopped onto a lion. Immaculate. Meanwhile his client is doing the death-flop at rep six because their ability to buffer...

Oh man, the crazy biohackers are at it again, especially one whose name rhymes with Barry Drecka, whose new claim is bat-poo bonkers. His new claim to fame is that the creatine supplement he recomends beats plain old creatine monohydrate. Hmmm. I have my doubts as I sit at my computer in the full impress-me-bro stance of some dooodes at the back of the SLAYER pit last week, pretzeled arms. The version he is touting as superior is creatine-HCl. Yawwwwwn. Now, if I am in a generous mood — as I...

You’ve probably heard of the Norwegian 4×4. Four minutes hard. Three minutes easy. Repeat four times. VO₂max goes up. Everybody from longevity podcasts to cardio GooRoos loves it. And for good reason. The original study was legit... ...but the way most people run the protocol? That’s where the wheels start flying off the meat wagon. Heart Rate Is Not Output Most GooRoos and even well-intentioned researchers, many who have never trained a single soul, tell you to hammer away at 90–95% of max...
