The Phys Flex Cert is coming

Newsflash, Brosefus.

Four weeks from now — Monday, October 12 — I fling open the gates of the Physiologic Flexibility Certification for 1 week only.

Why should you care?

Hold your glutes with both hands as I answer you via a story of Optimizing Otto.

Spreadsheet so gorgeous it should hang in the Louvre — color-coded, auto-calculating, little branded PDF with his face photoshopped onto a lion. Immaculate.

Meanwhile his client is doing the death-flop at rep six because their ability to buffer hydrogen ions is roughly that of a wet blanket.

His branding to uber fitness nerds? Chef's kiss.

His understanding of physiology? Grease fire in the back of your local fast food joint.

Nicer fonts do not fix hydrogen ions, that is science beeeotches!

Phys Flex Main 4

There are four systems that decide how much stress your body can shovel in and still spit out adaptation instead of a puddle:

Temperature — hot and cold, the sauna-to-ice-bath spread

pH — the acid you make, and how fast you haul it off

Fuel — lactate when you're redlining, ketones when you're loafing

Breathing — oxygen in, CO2 wrangled instead of ignored

Widen those four and you widen everything downstream — what your client tolerates, what they recover from, what they actually grow off of.

I call it Human Dynamic Range. HDR. You want a great range from the lowest parameter to the highest.

And yes exercise, nutrition, and sleep come first. That's the on-ramp, not the surprise ending...

.. But once you're pulling a solid B in all three, HDR via the Phys Flex Cert is where the next tier of gainZ has been hiding this entire time, snickering at you from behind the squat rack.

The cert is the whole machine: the protocols, the dosing, the exact order to run them so they stack instead of brawling in a parking lot. That part doesn't fit in an email, and honestly you don't want me to try.

It all starts again October 12 for one week.

Any questions, smash the reply key here and fire away.

Much love and metabolic mayhem,
— Mike

PS — much much more info coming soon!

Oh man, the crazy biohackers are at it again, especially one whose name rhymes with Barry Drecka, whose new claim is bat-poo bonkers. His new claim to fame is that the creatine supplement he recomends beats plain old creatine monohydrate. Hmmm. I have my doubts as I sit at my computer in the full impress-me-bro stance of some dooodes at the back of the SLAYER pit last week, pretzeled arms. The version he is touting as superior is creatine-HCl. Yawwwwwn. Now, if I am in a generous mood — as I...

You’ve probably heard of the Norwegian 4×4. Four minutes hard. Three minutes easy. Repeat four times. VO₂max goes up. Everybody from longevity podcasts to cardio GooRoos loves it. And for good reason. The original study was legit... ...but the way most people run the protocol? That’s where the wheels start flying off the meat wagon. Heart Rate Is Not Output Most GooRoos and even well-intentioned researchers, many who have never trained a single soul, tell you to hammer away at 90–95% of max...

In this episode of the Flex Diet Podcast, I sit down with Don Saladino, a New York-based coach and health entrepreneur who's spent nearly three decades training A-list stars like Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Don shares the single business lesson he wishes he'd learned sooner, and we dig into why he closed his $2M-overhead NYC gym after building it from the ground up. We also get into how tracking respiratory rate reshaped his approach to Zone 2 training, what it actually takes to work with...
